In front of a residential neighbourhood backdrop, a group of friends waver when one of them confides that ‘the idea of leaving here is on their mind’. This seemingly trivial drama reveals deeper mechanisms: the struggle to belong, the fragility of bonds, the way in which each person occupies – or tries to occupy – a place in the group. Are identities constructed through what is shared, through the space we inhabit, or through the way we view those who are relegated to the margins? An underground story unfolds, in which the environment becomes a player in the situation, influencing relationships and orchestrating dramas.
